Peter Copeland

Peter Copeland has a diverse work experience in the field of Human Resources. Peter currently holds the position of Head of Human Resources at Fleetwood Furniture since 2020. Prior to this role, they worked at Herman Miller for a significant duration starting in 2000. At Herman Miller, they held various positions including Director of Human Resources, Sr HR Consulting Manager, People Services Consultant - Lead, and People Services Consultant. Peter was responsible for various aspects of HR such as pay administration, talent management, performance management, leadership and employee development, talent acquisition, organizational change, employee relations, and staffing. Peter also worked as a Sr Compensation Analyst at Herman Miller. Before joining Herman Miller, they were a Human Resources Specialist at Bronson Methodist Hospital from 1998 to 2000 and a Compensation Analyst at First of America Bank from 1994 to 1998.

Peter Copeland attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks but did not obtain a degree or field of study there. Peter then went on to Western Michigan University where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business/Corporate Communications. In addition to their degree, they also hold certifications as a Certified Professional (CP) from SHRM and as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
