Greg Battig has a long history of working in the IT industry. Greg began their career in 2004 as the Director of Application Development for Thomas Cook Group. In this role, they were responsible for delivering high-quality software for all Thomas Cook North America initiatives. Greg managed a team of 27 people, 14 full-time employees and 13 contractors. Theirachievements include the launch of the company's website. In 2013, they moved to Wolseley Canada Inc. as the Head of IT Development and Systems Integrations. In this role, they were responsible for all application development and system integrations for Wolseley Canada, as well as all month-end and end of day processing on AS400. Greg also handled all IT development audit requests conducted by PWC. In 2015, they joined Flentis Corporation as the CIO and COO. In this role, they were responsible for the expansion of the business, managing a team of 120 people with 3 directors and multiple managers. Greg also had oversight and accountability of vendor management for application development and support work performed by third-party vendors, including globally sourced resources. Greg was also tasked with leading management initiatives involving process design, gap analysis, business procedures, technology rollouts, job design, staff development, etc.

Greg Battig (L.I.O.N) has an education history that includes a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from Universidad Rafael Urdaneta, obtained between 1995 and 1998, in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Greg also obtained an Applied Information Technology (AIT) degree from CCBC in 2001. In addition, Greg Battig (L.I.O.N) obtained an AIT certification from CCBC in October 2000.
