Evan Thomas Smith

Evan Thomas Smith, LICSW, serves as the Medical Group Behavioral Health Services Manager and Clinical Coordinator for MAT Services at The University of Vermont Health Network - Central Vermont Medical Center since February 2017. Previously, Evan held the position of Assistant Clinical Director at Maple Leaf Treatment Center from July 2015 to February 2017 and worked as the Substance Abuse Program Administrator for the Vermont Department of Health's Division of Alcohol & Drug Abuse Programs from February 2012 to July 2015, where quality oversight of substance abuse treatment providers was a key responsibility. Additional experience includes roles such as Asthma Program Manager at the Vermont Department of Health, Director of Quality at the Vermont Department of Mental Health, and Project Coordinator at the Dartmouth College Psychiatric Research Center. Evan's career began as Program Director at the Joseph J. Peters Institute. An alumnus of the State University of New York at Albany, Evan holds a Master of Social Work degree focused on clinical social work.
