Michael Hartung

President, Agility Solutions at Flex

Michael Hartung is the President of Agility Solutions at Flex, the global manufacturing partner of choice that helps a diverse customer base design and build products to improve the world. In his capacity, Mr. Hartung oversees the company’s operating segment that is comprised of the Communications, Enterprise and Cloud (CEC), Consumer Devices, and Lifestyle business units. To address customers’ evolving needs, he is responsible for driving the segment’s strategy by creating differentiated end-to-end solutions, integrating a regionalized agile manufacturing model with market leading technical expertise.

Most recently, Mr. Hartung served as the Senior Vice President of the Lifestyle market segment for Flex. In this capacity Mr. Hartung had global profit and loss responsibility for one of Flex’s fastest growing market segments. Under his leadership the Lifestyle business consistently delivered revenue growth and margin expansion by bundling specialized global manufacturing capabilities with focused design solutions in connectivity, mechanicals and human machine interface applications.

Mr. Hartung joined Flex through the acquisition of Solectron in October of 2007. He held several positions of increasing responsibility at Solectron, culminating his career there as Vice President of the Computing & Storage business unit where he was directly responsible for sales, marketing, and account management functions.

Mr. Hartung holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and attended a variety of executive education programs, most notably at Stanford University.
