Before CAA ICON, Gary worked at E.ON Climate & Renewables as the Chief Administrative Officer from 2008 to 2011. During this time, they oversaw HR, IT, procurement, and facilities for a $4 billion business. Prior to that, they were the Director of Financial Planning & Controlling at E.ON U.S. from 2005 to 2007. In this role, they handled financial planning and controlling activities, including budgeting and capital approval processes. Gary also served as the Director of Sarbanes Oxley Compliance, leading the company's efforts to achieve compliance with SOX.
Early in their career, Gary worked at LG&E Energy Corp. Gary held the positions of Director of Supply Chain from 2001 to 2005 and Director of IT Strategy, Planning & Security from 1998 to 2001. In these roles, they managed supply chain activities, including inventory management and purchasing, as well as IT strategy, research, security, and financial management.

Gary Watkins, CPA has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Gary also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business from the University of Louisville.
