Michael J. Bender

Michael J. Bender is an accomplished executive and board member with extensive experience in leadership roles across various companies. Currently, Bender serves as Executive in Residence at Wunderkind and holds positions as a Senior Advisor at Simon-Kucher and Channel Partner at Risk International. Active on multiple boards, Bender is a board member at Spotless Brands, Flexe, Included Health, Wawa, Inc., and Acuity Brands, contributing to various committees including Audit and Governance. As of May 2024, Bender will assume the role of Chair of the Board at Kohl's, where involvement includes multiple committees focused on Audit, Finance, Nominating and ESG, and Compensation. Previously, Bender was President and CEO of Eyemart Express. Bender holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a BA in Economics from Stanford University.
