Leo Araguas Herrero

Leo Araguas Herrero is currently the Director of Software Engineering at Flexiti. Leo has over six years of experience in various software engineering positions.

Herrero began their career as a Platform Team Leader at General Motors in February 2013. In this role, they were responsible for defining the training policy and program for the Argentina team, which was later implemented globally. Leo also led the migration of two core systems used to perform the US pension investment execution and monitoring. These systems were the Investments Management Database, the critical application used to handle pension accounts, and execute transactions against Wall Street, and the Manager Activities Tracking System, a log of Manager Meetings with analysis of investment operations, opportunities, and risks categorized by firms and assets class. In both cases, the system was being developed using C#, SQL 2014, SSRS 2014, Custom Windows Services, and SharePoint 2013 using AD installed in a BC ready environment with 6 Windows 2012 app servers -3 active and 3 passive- and 2 DB using Always-On and SharePoint 2013 from the corporate environment.

Herrero was also actively involved in the migration of farm to SharePoint 2013 of 16 applications (12 OOB and 4 custom –with code migration/refactorization due to corporate restrictions). Furthermore, they were the Technical Lead on MVC5 development of a new application to track the spread assignments (MVC5, SQL, SSRS, Windows Services using SAML installed in a BC ready environment with 4 Windows 2012 servers -2 active and 2 passive- and 2 MSSQL 2014 using Always On). Lastly, they were also responsible for team activities coordination as the Level 3 Single Point of contact. Other activities related to their role included ACL reviews, project planning, requirements gathering, UAT coordinator, Code Review, and more.

In January 2019, Herrero left General Motors to join Flexiti as their Director of Software Engineering. In this role, they are responsible for leading a team of software engineers in developing and maintaining Flexiti’s software products.

Leo Araguas Herrero is a systems analyst who has not completed their degree. Leo has a certification from Lynda.com in ASP.NET Core: Middleware.

Leo Araguas Herrero reports to Jisun Hahn, Chief Product Officer. They work with Paul Cyr - AVP, Digital Product and Integration, Kam Dulku - Director, Product Owners, and Manuel Diaz-granados - AVP, Product.
