Clay Leonard has extensive work experience in various roles within the manufacturing and engineering industry. Clay is currently serving as the Chief Manufacturing & Engineering Officer at Flexsys since November 2021. Before this, they worked at Eastman for more than a decade, holding positions such as Product Director, Tires; Site Manager; and Director, Crystex Engineering. At Flexsys, they previously served as the Technology Manager and Sr. Process Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at Eichleay Engineers Inc. as a Project Manager and Sr. Process Engineer. Their early career began at NOXSO Corporation as a Process Engineer. Clay Leonard has proven expertise in leading teams, implementing process optimizations, managing capital projects, and ensuring operational excellence.
Clay Leonard completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Physics at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania from 1986 to 1989. Clay further pursued their education at Penn State University from 1989 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemical Engineering. Additionally, Clay Leonard holds a certification as a Professional Engineer from Ohio and Pennsylvania, although the specific date of obtaining this certification is not provided.
