Carl joined Flinders Ports as General Manager, Marine Operations in 2004. He has overall responsibility for marine operations across 10 South Australian Ports, including the seven ports owned and operated by Flinders Ports as well as Whyalla, Port Bonython, and Ardrossan.
Carl also oversees HydroSurvey Australia, a hydrographic survey business operated by Flinders Ports, and is the Port Security Officer for all ports operated by Flinders Ports. He previously worked at the Department of Planning Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) and brings expertise in emergency planning and response to the group.
A Master Mariner with pilotage licenses for five South Australian ports, Carl also has a Master's in Business Administration (MBA).
