Ian Goodwin-Smith

Ian Goodwin-Smith currently serves as the Dean (Research) for the College of Business, Government & Law and holds the title of Matthew Flinders Professor of Social Impact at Flinders University since September 2021. Additionally, Ian is the Director of the Centre for Social Impact at Flinders, a position held since January 2022. Prior to these roles, Ian was a Professor and Director at The Australian Alliance for Social Enterprise at the University of South Australia from 2018 until September 2021. Ian's earlier experience includes serving as the Director and Associate Professor at the Australian Centre for Community Services Research at Flinders University from January 2014 to December 2018, a Research Fellow at Anglicare SA, and a Lecturer at both the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia. Ian holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from The University of Adelaide.
