Alexander Van Alen

Alexander Van Alen is an experienced entrepreneur and conservationist with a strong background in outdoor recreation and land protection. As the Founder and CEO of FlingGolf by New Swarm since February 2013, Alexander has developed and promoted an innovative action sport that combines various athletic skills and utilizes a patented FlingStick. Additionally, Alexander serves as Chairman of the World League FlingGolf, which enhances visibility for top players through competitive events. Previous roles include Executive Director at Essex County Trail Association, where Alexander promoted outdoor activities, and Director of Land Protection and Stewardship at Willistown Conservation Trust, overseeing significant conservation efforts. Alexander holds a BA in Environmental Conservation from the University of Colorado Boulder and an MS in Ecology from Colorado State University.
