Brand Lead at Flink

Alonso Román has a diverse work experience in the advertising and marketing industry. Alonso most recently worked as a Brand Lead at Flink México starting in May 2022. Prior to that, they were at BBDO Mexico where they held multiple roles. Alonso served as a Group Planning Director from April 2021 to May 2022, and as a Director of Strategic Planning from January 2020 to April 2021. In these positions, they were responsible for brand, communication, and digital strategy for clients such as Pepsico, WhatsApp, Bayer, Scotiabank, and Exxon Mobil. Before joining BBDO Mexico, Alonso worked at KTBO. During their time there, they were a Digital Planner from February 2017 to March 2018, the Head of Content from September 2016 to March 2017, and a Copywriter from April 2015 to August 2016.

Alonso Román obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication and Media Studies from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México. Alonso pursued this degree from 2009 to 2014. In 2011, they also completed a Diploma of Education in Music Performance from Berklee College of Music. Additionally, from 2011 to 2013, Román attended Sala de Audio to obtain a diploma in audio engineering. In July 2020, they earned the certification of Facebook Certified Creative Strategy Professional from Facebook.
