Piyush Bomidwar

Piyush Bomidwar has a diverse work experience spanning different companies and roles. Piyush currently works as a Solutions Architect at Flinks since 2023. Prior to that, they were at IBM from 2021 to 2023, where they served as an Enterprise Architect and Head of Engineering, overseeing product development teams and managing the design, development, and delivery of products in the Payments, Banking, and Financial Services sectors.

Before IBM, Piyush worked at Scotiabank from 2018 to 2020 as a Solutions Architect, leading and delivering innovative projects under the Payments Modernization initiative. Piyush was responsible for crafting scalable, flexible, and resilient architectures to meet business goals.

At IBM in 2017, they held the role of Senior Data Specialist/Architect, where they excelled in data analysis and modeling, enterprise data design, and Microservices and API design. Piyush also worked at ATB Financial in the same year as an Architect, focusing on data, SOA, and API design.

In 2017, Piyush worked at Canadian Pacific Railway as a Sr. Consultant, leading business analysis and design activities, bridging the gap between business and technology groups, and ensuring efficient project management.

Piyush's early experience includes working as a Solutions Architect and Delivery Lead at Scotiabank from 2010 to 2017, where they were involved in requirement analysis, solution design and optimization, and managing technical delivery. Piyush also worked as a Lead Programmer Analyst, overseeing a team of developers and analysts, and developing complex ETL transformations and integration modules.

Piyush's career began as an Application Developer in 2005, specializing in embedded, mobile, and web development. Piyush has experience in technologies like Java, J2EE, HTML, and Win CE .Net, among others.

Piyush Bomidwar holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University in Amravati. In terms of certifications, they are TOGAF® 9 Certified and has obtained The Open Group Certified: TOGAF® Standard, Version 9.2. Piyush is also an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner certified by IBM and has attained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification. Piyush has various other certifications including IBM Integration Bus V10 Application Development I, Bluemix Essentials, Docker Essentials: Extend Your Apps With Containers, IBM Blockchain Essentials, IBM Blockchain Foundation Developer, SCRUM Master Certification, DB2, Websphere Transformation Extender Developer, Management Essentials, Project Management - L1, Anti Money Laundering, Banking 101, Business Management Services, and English Language Proficiency from The University of British Columbia.
