Kay Schwartz

Kay Schwartz is the Executive Director at Flint Public Library. Kay has been with the library since 1998, starting as the Cybrarian. In 2004, they became the Manager of Automation and Technical Services. In 2009, they became the Interim Director of Libraries and in December 2010, they were promoted to Executive Director.

Kay has a long history with the Flint Public Library. Kay started working there in 1982 as the Manager. In 1998, they were promoted to Cybrarian and then in 2004, they became the Manager of Automation and Technical Services. In 2009, they became the Interim Director of Libraries and in December 2010, they were promoted to Executive Director.

Kay is a dedicated worker with a passion for libraries. Kay is committed to their community and its library system. Kay is a strong advocate for literacy and lifelong learning.

Kay Schwartz attended the University of Michigan, where they received a B.B.A. in Accounting from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, a Music degree with Honors LSA from the University, and an M.I.L.S. in Library Studies from the School of Information.
