Matthew Cheung has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as Co-founder and Managing Director of Flipp, where they led the development of enterprise technology and partnerships, building industry partnerships and pioneering business and technical solutions for the digital transition of weekly shopping. Matthew was also responsible for product development, strategic execution, and team resourcing.
Matthew later co-founded TideRise Technologies, focusing on providing opportunities in Malawi through training and employment, while enabling cost efficiencies and scalable business results for global corporations through business process outsourcing.
Prior to these ventures, Matthew worked as a Program Manager at Microsoft, where they were involved in the design, specifications, team coordination, and release of Microsoft mapping products, with a focus on geocoding, directions, real-time traffic, and mobile integration.
Matthew Cheung attended the University of Waterloo from 1999 to 2004, where they earned their Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Engineering.
