Colin Ross

Colin Ross began their career in 2002 as an Application Developer / Numerical Analyst at Sunrise Systems. In 2004, they moved to Accelrys as a Senior Engineer. In 2008, they joined Siemens UGS PLM Software as a Software Engineer - Advanced. In 2009, they worked as a Software Engineer at ACTIV Financial Systems, Inc. In 2013, they joined Buffer as an Engineering Manager, Infrastructure, and then held roles as a Staff Engineer, Lead Happiness Engineer, Happiness Engineer, and Advanced Software Engineer. In 2021, they became the Director Of Engineering at Float.com, where they are responsible for helping teams make the most of their time.

Colin Ross obtained their MA in Mathematics, History & Philosophy of Science from the University of Cambridge in 1996. Colin then went on to pursue their MSc in Scientific Computing from the University of Huddersfield in 1997-1998. Colin then continued their studies at the University of Huddersfield and obtained their PhD in Computational Mathematics in 2001.
