Misty Hood Overfelt, MHS, LAT, ATC, EMT, currently serves as a Health Science and Anatomy & Physiology teacher at Florence ISD since July 2022 and as an Assistant Professor at Temple College since August 2019, teaching the EMT class at Hutto High School. Previous experience includes roles as a Health Teacher at Hutto ISD from July 2016 to July 2022, and as an Athletic Trainer and Health Science and Sports Medicine teacher at Florence ISD from July 2012 to June 2016. Additionally, Misty was the Head Athletic Trainer and drug testing coordinator at Palestine ISD from July 2005 to June 2012 and served as Head Athletic Trainer at Highland Community College from July 2002 to July 2005. Educational qualifications include a Master of Health Science in Health Science - Teaching and Learning from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Phillips University.
