Maria Alegre

Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Flori Ventures

Maria Alegre is a Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Flori Ventures. Prior to that, they were with Kaala, Mozilla, PULA, Sequoia Capital, and Chartboost, Inc. Maria has also been the Head of the Tapulous Labs Studio at The Walt Disney Company.

Maria has always been interested in technology and its ability to positively impact people’s lives. Maria started their career in mobile gaming with Tapulous, which was acquired by The Walt Disney Company in 2010. After Tapulous, they co-founded Chartboost in 2011. Chartboost was acquired by Zynga in 2021.

At Sequoia Capital, Maria was a Scout, advising and investing in companies. Maria then moved on to PULA, where they were an Advisor helping smallholder farmers endure climate risks, improve their farming practices, and bolster their incomes over time.

Most recently, Maria was with Mozilla where they started the Crypto Lab and prototyped Kaala. Maria also ran the Scouts Program and mentored at Mozilla’s Fix-The-Internet Incubator.

Maria Alegre's educational career includes a Bachelor's degree from Esade and an MBA from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Maria also participated in an exchange program at the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
