Debarshi Datta

Debarshi Datta, PhD, is a Senior Research Fellow and former Postdoctoral Researcher at Florida Atlantic University since November 2021. With extensive training in data science, Debarshi completed a Data Science Career Track at Springboard in 2021, mastering skills in Python, SQL, and machine learning, notably developing a predictive model for ticket pricing at Big Mountain Resort. Prior experience includes a project on cell spike dynamics in the thalamus during sleep and successful implementation of supervised machine learning algorithms for face detection during doctoral research. Debarshi holds a PhD in Experimental Psychology and a Master's degree in the same field from Florida Atlantic University, as well as an MS in Vision Science from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis and a B.S. in Optometry and Vision Sciences from All India Institute of Optometrical Sciences in Kolkata, India.
