Dr. Solange K. R. Charles-Montanez

Dr. Solange K. R. Charles-Montanez has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Dr. Solange K. R. most recently worked at Florida Atlantic University as the Associate Director of Advancement Services, Information and Strategic Analytics, where they managed the foundation's database and technology needs. Prior to that, they held positions at Miami Dade College, University of Miami, The Lord's Place, Florida State University, Florida A&M University, Florida Office of the Attorney General, and COSTAATT College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago. Their roles included adjunct lecturer, workforce services manager, career advisory services coordinator, director of gift acceptance, associate director of development services, director of advancement services, FSU Foundation - Production Coordinator, and business office manager.

Dr. Solange K. R. Charles-Montanez, Ed.D., M.I.B., ACUE has a diverse education history. Dr. Solange K. R. earned a Doctor of Education - EdD in Leadership and Management from St. Thomas University from 2015 to 2019. In 2020, they obtained a certificate in Effective Instruction (Online College Instruction) from The Association of College and University Educators and the American Council on Education. Additionally, in 2020, they received a certificate in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Florida Atlantic University - College of Business. Prior to this, they earned a Master's Degree in International Business from Florida International University - College of Business in 2013-2014. Dr. Solange K. R. also holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, obtained from 2008 to 2010. Their Bachelor's degree in Economics/Business Administration was earned from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University from 2003 to 2007. Dr. Charles-Montanez completed their High School education at St. Francois Girls College from 1994 to 2001, where they focused on Liberal Arts and Sciences, with a specialization in Accounting, GP, History, Geography. Dr. Solange K. R. is currently pursuing additional certifications, including a certificate in Effective College Instruction from The Association of College and University Educators and the American Council on Education (2022-2023) and a certificate in Value Creation from Florida Atlantic University - College of Business (2023). Additionally, Dr. Charles-Montanez has obtained various certifications in areas such as technology skills, student success mentoring, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, trust, workforce specialization, unconscious bias, relationship building, lean six sigma, project management essentials, hiring top management, PCI compliance, FERPA, harassment and discrimination prevention, CPR/AED, proctoring exams, records management, and first-year experience teaching certification.
