Louisa Kelly

Louisa Kelly has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of financial operations and accounting. Louisa began their career as a Senior Accountant at ELHILOW, SMITH, & COMPANY, LLC in 2007, where they worked until 2013. Following that, they joined Sotillo and Company as a Senior Accountant from 2013 to 2014. Louisa then transitioned to Florida Atlantic University where they held various positions including Associate Controller - Financial Affairs, Director of Budget, Finance and Administration - College of Nursing, Assistant Dean for Finance - College of Nursing, and Assistant Vice President and University Controller. Currently, Louisa holds the position of Associate Vice President of Financial Operations and University Controller at Florida Atlantic University, a role where they oversee and manages the financial operations of the university, ensures compliance with regulations, and provides financial guidance to university leadership. Throughout their career, Louisa has consistently demonstrated their expertise in financial statement reporting, forecasting, transactional operations, data analytics, and financial analysis to support informed and strategic decision-making.

Louisa Kelly, CPA, MBA, CHFP holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Florida Atlantic University, which they obtained in 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the same university in 2010. In addition to their degrees, Louisa has obtained several certifications, including Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation in 2012, and the Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) certification from HFMA. Louisa has also completed various Excel and business analytics certificates from McGraw Hill and Florida Atlantic University. Louisa has additional certifications from LinkedIn and Learn@Forbes in public speaking and leadership, respectively.
