Patrick Connelly

Patrick Connelly is an accomplished environmental scientist with extensive experience in marine biology and environmental management. Currently serving as an Environmental Scientist 3 at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection since August 2021, Patrick has a diverse background that includes roles as a SCUBA Dive Master at Pura Vida Divers, where management of multiple dives and diver education were key responsibilities, and as an instructor at Everglades University, teaching marine resources management and environmental policy. Previous positions include Project Scientist at CSA Ocean Sciences Inc., where project management for various clients was highlighted, and Staff Scientist at Cardno ENTRIX, assessing environmental impacts from significant incidents. With a Master of Science in Marine Biology from the Florida Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Patrick combines strong academic credentials with practical field experience, including coordination of marine research programs and extensive data analysis throughout their career.
