Amy Casanova-Ward is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the field of law. Currently serving as a Senior Attorney at the Florida Department of Financial Services since December 2022, Amy previously held various positions at the State Attorney's Office in the 13th Judicial Circuit from 2005 to December 2022, including Attorney 3.850 Post Conviction and Lead Trial Attorney for the felony line division, focusing on economic crimes and arson prosecution. Prior to that, Amy worked as an Assistant State Attorney at the Office of the State Attorney in the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida from January 2002 to March 2005. Educationally, Amy holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Stetson University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Criminology and Professional and Technical Writing from the University of South Florida.
