Paul Knorr is a seasoned geology professional with extensive experience in critical minerals and marine geology. Currently serving as a Critical Mineral Geologist at the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management since January 2015, Paul specializes in research and operations related to marine critical minerals. Additionally, Paul holds a position as an Adjunct Professor at Florida Gulf Coast University, teaching geology. Previous roles include geologist positions at the United States Geological Survey and ATC Group Services LLC, where responsibilities ranged from modeling carbonate sediment production to soil and groundwater remediation. Paul has a robust educational background, including a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of South Florida and a B.S. in Geology from the University of Florida. Paul’s military service includes significant leadership roles in the US Army, where foundational skills in logistics and operations were developed.
