Dr Emma R Blackmore

Dr. Emma R. Blackmore currently serves as the Director of Special Projects at Florida Health Care Plans since September 2020, after holding multiple roles in clinical education and quality management. As a Clinical Associate Professor at Florida State University since April 2016, Dr. Blackmore provides clinical teaching and supervision for 4th year medical students and participates in faculty training to enhance teaching skills. Previously, at Halifax Health from April 2016 to September 2020, responsibilities included directing patient safety and quality in graduate medical education. Dr. Blackmore's academic career includes positions as an Assistant Professor at the University of Florida and the University of Rochester, as well as postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Toronto and the University of Birmingham. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Psychiatric Molecular Genetics from the University of Birmingham and an MPhil in Psychology from Birmingham City University.
