Penny Vassar

Penny Vassar has significant experience in higher education, currently serving as the Department Head of Off-Campus and Online Programs and Executive Director of Education Centers at the Florida Institute of Technology since April 2007. Previous roles at the institution include Assistant Professor & Site Director Virtual, Acting Director of NCR, Director of Administrative Services, and Senior Resident Administrator. Vassar began with the Florida Institute of Technology in 1994 as an Administrative Secretary and progressed to Resident Director and Staff Assistant before completing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Leadership - Higher Education from Clemson University between 2006 and 2014, as well as an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1998.
