Edgar Salazar

Edgar Salazar, CPA, currently serves as the Tax Director at Florida International University since April 2013, where responsibilities include leading the Tax Compliance, Payroll Accounting, PCI Compliance, and Quality Assurance Services department, overseeing tax compliance filings, and supervising the Tax team. Prior to this role, Edgar was the International Tax Project Administrator for FedEx Express in the Latin American & Caribbean Division from June 2002 to April 2013, focusing on international tax planning initiatives and supporting M&A and repatriation planning. Edgar's career began as a Manager in Accounting & Tax Services at MarcumRachlin, a division of Marcum LLP, where close collaboration with CFOs and Controllers occurred while assisting clients with analytical analysis and budget preparation. Edgar holds a Master’s in Taxation and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Miami Herbert Business School.
