Meredith Schoenfeld

Meredith Schoenfeld serves as Associate General Counsel at the University of Delaware since June 2025. Prior to this role, Meredith held the position of Assistant General Counsel at the National Science Foundation, focusing on providing legal guidance for programs, policies, and operations related to science and technology. Meredith's extensive experience includes serving as Associate Solicitor at the United States Patent and Trademark Office and as a Legal Policy Advisor for the U.S. Department of Commerce, where analysis was conducted on issues related to the CHIPS Act and the semiconductor industry. Additional roles include Interim Deputy Director at the U.S. Department of Commerce's Executive Secretariat, Patent Attorney at Los Alamos National Laboratory, and Associate Attorney at Finnegan Henderson Farabow Garrett & Dunner LLP. Meredith began a career in law after earning a JD from Georgetown University Law Center, following a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
