Eric Johnson has extensive experience in systems and network management, currently serving as System Programmer Manager at Florida International University since November 1995. Johnson has significantly upgraded the university's network infrastructure and has also contributed as an Adjunct Instructor, designing courses in networking. Previously, Johnson was Chief Network Engineer for AMPATH, linking research networks across South and Central America to high-performance US networks. Other roles include Senior Software Engineer at Allied Standard Asset Management, where network programming for high-frequency trading systems was provided, and consultant at the Center for Internet Augmented Research and Assessment. Johnson began a career in various capacities at the University of Florida, culminating in a non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Astronomy. Johnson holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida, earned in 1992.
