Jayantha Obeysekera

Jayantha Obeysekera is a seasoned academic and professional with extensive experience in water resources and environmental research. Currently serving as a Research Professor and Director of the Sea Level Solutions Center at Florida International University since April 2018, Jayantha also holds the position of Chief Modeler at the South Florida Water Management District, a role sustained since 1987. Additionally, Jayantha is an Affiliate Research Professor at Florida Atlantic University and served as a Research Assistant Professor at Colorado State University from 1985 to 1987. Jayantha Obeysekera earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering with a focus on Water Resources from Colorado State University between 1978 and 1984.
