Tawnicia Ferguson Rowan is an accomplished academic and entrepreneur with a diverse career spanning multiple educational institutions and organizations. Since August 2015, Tawnicia has served as an Assistant Professor of English/Religion and Philosophy at Florida Memorial University, following previous roles at the university as an Instructor of English from 2002 to 2005. Tawnicia is also the Founder and President of Well-Written Words, LLC, promoting clear and eloquent communication since 2004. Additional experience includes serving as Managing Editor for UFBL Press from 2009 to 2017, participating as a Preliminary Writing Adjudication Panelist for the YoungARTS Program from 2007 to 2014, and teaching at various institutions, including Miami Dade College and Tennessee State University. Tawnicia holds a Master of Divinity from the Interdenominational Theological Center, a Master of Arts in English from Vanderbilt University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Spelman College, along with study abroad experience at Universidad de Salamanca.
