Senior Economic Development Project Manager at Florida Power & Light

Aaron Michael joined FPL in April 2021 as Senior Economic Development Project Manager. In this role, he supports economic development efforts throughout Florida by working with growing businesses looking to expand or relocate to the Sunshine State. Assisting all industries—while focusing on advanced manufacturing—Aaron assists companies in identifying available sites and buildings, educating on incentive rates and benefits, providing electric and infrastructure assessments and overall project support.

Prior to joining FPL, Aaron was senior advisor at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). During his time at DOE, he was instrumental in connecting the private sector with available resources at the department. He led several efforts that resulted in new avenues for collaboration, including the department’s first sustained presence at the Consumer Electronics Show. He was also influential in establishing a new memorandum of understanding between the DOE and National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

Aaron holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Lynn University.
