Dimitrios Filis

Dimitrios Filis has a strong background in IT auditing and cybersecurity. Dimitrios began their career in 1994 as an Information Systems Specialist at Inter-American Development Bank. From there, they held various positions as a Senior Information Systems Specialist and IT Internal Auditor at different companies such as MCI Telecommunications Corporation, Global Information Solutions, and Broward Health. In 2012, they became an IT Internal Auditor at Cross Country Healthcare, Inc, where they developed and executed Sarbanes-Oxley Information Technology testing activities. Dimitrios then moved on to First Data Corporation and Dycom Industries as a Senior IT Auditor before joining Florida Power & Light Company in 2016 as a Principal Cybersecurity Analyst. Dimitrios holds certifications in GISP, CTPRA, CISA, and ITIL.

Dimitrios Filis completed their Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems, General from Strayer University from 1993 to 1994. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Computer Information Systems from The American College of Greece between 1989 and 1992. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications throughout their career, including the GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP) from GIAC Certifications in August 2023, the Certified Third Party Risk Assessor (CTPRA) from Shared Assessments in November 2022, the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from EXIN in March 2014, and the CISA certification from ISACA in November 2010.
