Nikolas Zapata

Engineering Lead at Florida Power & Light

Nikolas Zapata has a diverse work experience. Nikolas started their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Central Florida in 2016. From 2013 to 2017, Nikolas worked as an Operations Intern at the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation, where they assisted in event management and web management tasks. Since 2017, they have been employed at the Florida Power & Light Company, starting as an Associate Engineer and eventually progressing to roles such as Production Lead and currently, Engineering Lead.

Nikolas Zapata's education history begins in 2008 when they obtained their high school diploma in Engineering from Bayshore High School. Following that, they attended the State College of Florida from 2012 to 2013, earning an Associate of Arts (AA) degree with a focus on Math and Science. Continuing their education, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Central Florida from 2014 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Nikolas also obtained two certifications in 2012: the Adobe Certified Associate and the Certified SolidWorks Associate CSWA.
