Maria Carver

Maria Carver is an experienced greenhouse manager with a robust background in horticultural science. Currently serving as the Greenhouse Manager at Florida Southern College since March 2012, responsibilities include maintaining greenhouse structures, supervising student workers, and ensuring proper crop care. Prior to this role, Maria worked as a Program Coordinator at Hillsborough County Extension Office UF/IFAS, where the focus was on delivering research-based information on water conservation and landscape maintenance. Experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Florida involved assisting participants in an evapotranspiration study and conducting irrigation audits. Additionally, as Nursery Manager at the City of Lakeland, Maria managed plant propagation and care. Maria holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Horticulture-Landscape and Nursery Management from the University of Florida, along with two associate degrees from Wilkes Community College.
