Dr. M. Jasim Uddin

Dr. M. Jasim Uddin currently serves as the Wolfspeed Endowed Chair and Professor in the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering at SUNY Polytechnic Institute, focusing on semiconductor manufacturing, energy generation, energy storage, and biomedical sensors. Additionally, Dr. Uddin holds editorial roles with Nature Sci. Report and the Journal of Sustainability, and is a Distinguished Professor at Florida State University within Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering. Previous positions include a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Francis Rusteberg Endowed Professor at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where contributions to functional materials and energy generation were significant. Dr. Uddin's educational background includes a PhD in Materials Science from Università degli Studi di Torino and postdoctoral research at Tulane University and Florida State University, alongside leadership training from the Texas Academic Leadership Academy.
