Jessica Schilling

Jessica Schilling is an accomplished film editor and educator currently serving as Adjunct Faculty in Film Editing at Florida State University since August 2023. With extensive freelance editing experience dating back to February 2009, Jessica has contributed to various documentary films and television projects. Notable recent roles include editing for Hulu's documentary series "Search for Soul Food," and for the Emmy-nominated "Defying Gravity: The Untold Story of Women's Gymnastics." Jessica also held editing positions at MasterClass, where significant projects included "The Power of Empathy" and a special series on Amazon Prime Video. Jessica’s educational background includes an MFA in Film Production from Florida State University and a BA in Literature and Film Studies from New College of Florida. Additionally, Jessica is a Steering Committee Member for the Alliance of Documentary Editors.
