Scientist And Program Lead In Cryogenics And Superconducting Power Applications at Florida State University

Sastry Pamidi currently serves as Associate Director at the Center for Advanced Power Systems at Florida State University and holds the position of Professor and Department Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. With a significant tenure at Florida State University since June 2001, Sastry Pamidi has acted as a scientist and program lead in cryogenics and superconducting power applications, focusing on projects involving superconducting DC cables and magnetic shielding using high-temperature superconducting materials. Prior experience includes work as an Assistant Scientist at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory from 1996 to 2001. Sastry Pamidi earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Chemistry from the University of Bombay, an MBA in Financial Management, and a Masters in Accounting from Florida State University.
