Shannon Murphy

Shannon Murphy is a Research Technician at Florida State University, focusing on the effects of global change on animal biology and physiology in coastal ecosystems. Previously, Shannon has held roles as a Teaching Assistant for the Three Seas Program and various marine biology courses at Northeastern University, where responsibilities included coordinating fieldwork, assisting in lab instruction, and supporting students in statistical analyses using R. Shannon's research experience includes a stint as a Research Intern at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, analyzing changes in coral reef ecology, and earlier roles in sales and media coordination. Shannon holds a Master of Science in Marine Biology from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from UMass Boston.
