Will Luera is currently the Director of Improvisation at Florida Studio Theatre INC. Prior to this, they worked as an Early Product Tester and Content Creator at Facebook from March 2020 to June 2020. Will was responsible for providing detailed weekly feedback that helped shape the product across many aspects, as well as creating content that was targeted to appeal to a certain demographic of users.
Before working at Facebook, Luera was with the Mediation Training Institute at Eckerd College. Prior to that, they were with Florida Studio Theatre. Luera has also been with Boston College, where they worked as Adjunct Faculty for the Boston College Theatre Department from January 2013 to September 2014. In this role, they taught an "Improvisation for the Stage" course and worked with a variety of student groups to help them incorporate improvisational techniques into their work.
In addition to their work in academia, Luera has also worked as a Project Manager for SurfMerchants LLC and as a QA Engineer for Pyramid Technical Consultants. Will has also served as Director for Longwood Players and Artistic Director for Improv Asylum.
Will Luera completed a B.S. in Physics and Computer Science at Boston College and is currently a student in the Class of 2022 at ArtEquity. Will is also a certified workplace mediator from the Mediation Training Institute at Eckerd College.
They work with Jim Prosser - Resident Pianist, Ellie Mooney - Associate Artist, and J Paul Nicholas - Associate Artist. Their manager is Kate Alexander, Associate Artistic Director At-Large.
