Waltonio Percival-Deigh

Waltonio Percival-Deigh is the Director of Business Assurance at Flour Mills of Nigeria. Waltonio has over ten years of experience in auditing and Fraud Investigation. Prior to joining Flour Mills of Nigeria, Waltonio was the Head of Internal Audit at Airtel Nigeria from November 2010 to May 2011. In this role, they were responsible for providing strategic direction and establishing priorities for the Audit Division, developing and implementing the yearly audit plan, supervising planning and implementation of outsourced team work plans, quality assurance of all the Audit Unit’s outputs and work processes, presenting the outcome of audits in various fora, collaborating with management to ensure that lessons learned from audit reviews and fraud investigations are incorporated into relevant policies and procedures, monitoring action taken by management in response to audit work and reviews, ensuring effective follow up, providing training for forensic staff and, as required, to Secretariat staff, managing the overall budget of the Audit function, developing networks with other related fraud units, assisting the development of protocols for initiating and conducting audits, and facilitating the effectiveness of the Audit Committee of the Board.

Waltonio Percival-Deigh has a Bsc in Economics (Hons) from Fourah Bay College at the University of Sierra Leone. Waltonio also has a certification from the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Major in Commerce from Albert Academy. In addition, they have certifications from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), GRAPA Global Revenue Assurance Professionals Association in Certified Bachelor (Internal Audit - Telecom Revenue), International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigation Professionals Inc - USA in Certified Forensic Investigation Professional, and The Institute for Internal Controls (CICA) in Certified Internal Controls Auditor. Finally, they have a certification from the International Academy of Business and Financial Management in Certified Risk Based Auditor.
