A qualified engineer by trade, Rob completed his apprenticeship in 1985 as a Construction Plant Engineer with Eagle Plant and has been in the engineering industry for over 35 years; working in various hands on and office-based roles. Rob spent 16 years with Rotec Hydraulics in Somerset before setting up a small Hydraulics business in Yeovil. He joined Derek Lane & Co in 2007 as their Sales Manager. In 2010 he left for a brief period to work for Parker Hannifin before returning back to Derek Lane & Co in 2012 as part of an acquisition team. He was appointed Managing Director in May 2018
