Paul Koopmans is currently an advisor at Fluenccy, and previously held the position of Regional Sales Director at AFEX from August 2013 to August 2021. In this role, Koopmans was responsible for leading the new business and account management sales team in Asia Pacific, and ensuring growth, profitability, retention, and targets were achieved enabling the next level of growth for AFEX. Koopmans also had P & L responsibility for the region with a staff of 67, including 7 direct reports.

Prior to joining AFEX, Koopmans held various roles in sales and marketing. In these roles, they developed sales structure, processes and systems to assist sales teams; drove technology and digital innovation/transformation across regions; coached, trained and motivated sales teams to ensure the consistent achievement of sales objectives; and project managed the opening of new offices in regions.

Koopmans has a proven track record in achieving results and driving growth. Paul is a strategic thinker with the ability to think outside the box and develop creative solutions to problems. Paul is an excellent communicator with superb interpersonal skills.

Paul Koopmans has a background in Organisational Leadership from Melbourne Business School, a Master of Business Administration from Swinburne University of Technology, and a Certificate in Disruptive Strategy from Harvard Business School. Paul also holds a Payments in Digital Finance qualification from CFTE - Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship, and a Diploma in Financial Markets (RG146 Tier 1 FX) from AFMA.
