Eva Urbano

Eva Urbano currently serves as Service O&M Supervisor at Fluence, overseeing long-term operations and maintenance service activities for battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Italy and emerging markets since October 2025. Prior to this role, Eva was the Business Development Manager at E.ON, where leadership in product management for flexible assets in the GB market and involvement as a product owner for maximizing benefits from battery utilization were key responsibilities from January 2023 to October 2025. Between September 2016 and January 2023, Eva worked as an R&D Engineer and PhD student at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, focusing on energy optimization with renewables, circular economy, and project management. Additionally, experience includes a role at the European Commission centered on modeling the European Transmission System and a notable internship in circular economy projects. Eva holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and several advanced degrees in aeronautical engineering and energy management.
