Shayla Ebsen

Shayla Ebsen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Shayla is currently the Director of Communications at Fluence since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Communications and Marketing Manager at East River Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. from May 2016 to June 2022. Shayla also served as a Content Strategist at Prairie Berry from July 2014 to May 2016 and as Co-Founder of Wholesome Magazine from August 2012 to September 2014. Before that, they owned their own business, Freelancing For You, from July 2008 to March 2014. Shayla's previous roles also include Sales and Marketing Representative at Software Unlimited, Inc from July 2007 to August 2010, Museum Assistant at South Dakota Art Museum from September 2004 to May 2007, Public Relations Intern at South Dakota Department of Tourism in 2006, and Campus Editor at SDSU Collegian from September 2005 to May 2006.

Shayla Ebsen earned a Bachelor's degree in News/Editorial Journalism, Spanish, and Political Science from South Dakota State University from 2003 to 2007. Shayla then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis on Organizational Communication at the University of South Dakota from 2008 to 2010.
