Jerome Ferdinands has extensive work experience in various roles related to product design, user experience (UX), and consulting. Jerome is currently the Head of Product Design at Fluent Commerce since 2022. Prior to that, they served as an advisor at Flank.digital, where they mentored and advised the founder on building compassionate borrowing and lending habits. Jerome also worked as a guest speaker on UX and Design at INCO Academy, where they delivered talks and mentored students interested in careers in UX and Tech.

In their previous consulting roles, Jerome worked as a UX Consultant and Mentor at Plenti.com.au, where they focused on establishing and elevating the profile, process, and purpose of UX. Jerome was also involved in leading UX strategy and design as a founding member of the Kinora.com.au team. In addition, they worked as a UX Consultant at IP Edge, a web and app development agency, where they prioritized design thinking and customer value.

Jerome's earlier experience includes working at eBay, where they played a key role in building the UX practice in Australia from a single contributor to a high-output team. Jerome led design innovation programs, streamlined design processes, and mentored colleagues on design thinking. Jerome also served as a UX Lead and Designer on various innovative projects.

Prior to their work at eBay, Jerome had their own consulting business, Jerome Ferdinands Consulting, where they engaged in web and mobile projects, including the development of a life insurance underwriting rules engine called CloudCase.

Earlier in their career, Jerome worked as a Product Manager at BroadSoft Inc, overseeing the design and direction of VoIP software applications. Jerome was also the Co-Founder and Director of Carbon Twelve, a software development agency that was acquired by BroadSoft Inc.

Jerome Ferdinands started their career as an Art Director at IBM e-business, and they also worked as a Senior Designer at Jack Morton Worldwide.

Jerome Ferdinands completed their Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication with a major in Digital Media from Western Sydney University, which they attended from 1995 to 1998. Jerome also completed A Levels under the British Syllabus at Island School in Hong Kong from 1993 to 1994. Prior to that, they attended St Mary's High School in Dubai from 1977 to 1993. In terms of certifications, Jerome obtained various certifications including Agile - Active Program and Portfolio Management, Agile - Business Agility Accelerator, Essentials of Product Management, First Aid Training, and others from different institutions at various times.
