Joel K. Perkins

Joel K. Perkins has worked as a Software Engineer for five different companies since 2015. Joel K. began their career at Spokes - Resources for Nonprofits as a Front-End Web Developer, where they built a lightweight client-facing application and integrated EC2 and RDS using AWS. Joel K. then moved on to GitHub as a Software Engineer for OpenSource Projects. In 2018, they joined Ethiq® as a Software Engineer, where they architected an SQL database and designed React D3 presentational components. In 2019, they began working at Healthgrades as a Software Engineer, optimizing Elasticsearch queries, contributing to an Angular D3 Chart Component Library, and implementing a Help Center feature. Most recently, in 2020, they joined Flume Water as a Software Engineer.

Joel K. Perkins attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Liberal Arts and Engineering Studies (LAES) and a Minor in Media, Art, and Technology. Joel K. also holds a certification in Teaching English as a Second Language.
