Ryan McGinn

Ryan McGinn's work experience begins in 2007 when they worked as a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician and Vascular Access Manager at Renal Advantage Inc. During this time, they were also the Chair of the Infection Control Committee, where they recorded dialysis-related infections and created action plans to prevent future infections.

In 2015, Ryan worked as a Merchandise Manager for Clinical Laboratory Supplies at Market Lab, where they created new product lines and assessed products for marketability and sales potential.

From 2007 to 2015, Ryan also worked at Fresenius Medical Corp. of North America as a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician and Vascular Access Manager. Ryan obtained certification from The Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission and became a preceptor for new hires. Ryan also communicated with state and private inspectors to ensure quality and safety.

Ryan joined the City of Grand Rapids in 2016 and held various roles, including Water Quality Specialist, Water Treatment Operator, Chemist, and Water Treatment Operator 2. Ryan'sresponsibilities included conducting daily control studies on drinking water, organizing and compiling lead and copper studies, and collecting and analyzing treatment and distribution samples.

Since 2021, Ryan has been working at Fluresh LLC as an Environmental Engineer. In this role, they optimize the performance of environmental control systems, serves as a liaison to city authorities, and designs analytical testing methods to track system performance and quality. Ryan was recently promoted to the position of Director of Environmental Sciences in March 2022.

Ryan McGinn earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences and Philosophy from Grand Valley State University, completing their studies from 2007 to 2010. In addition, they hold a certification as a Water Treatment Plant Operator Grade III from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.
