Oluwabankole Falade

Oluwabankole Falade is the Chief Regulatory & Government Relations Officer at Flutterwave. Before joining Flutterwave, Falade served as the Director Regulatory Affairs & Government Relations at IHS Towers from February 2020 to May 2021. Prior to that, Falade was the Director Business Development Government and Non - Traditional Partners West Africa at Visa from May 2015 to February 2020, where they were responsible for strategic engagements and sales targets in key West African markets.

Before joining Visa, Falade served as the Regulatory Affairs Manager at MTN Nigeria from January 2005 to April 2015. In this role, Falade was responsible for providing advice on regulatory and compliance matters to ensure that the company operated within the framework of laws and regulations. Oluwabankole also represented the company in various industry forums and committees.

Falade began their career as a Junior Counsel at Churchfields Solicitors in October 2003, before moving to E.A Falade & Co in November 2004.

Falade is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Association of Telecoms Companies of Nigeria.

Oluwabankole Falade holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Ibadan, a BL from Nigerian Law School, and a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Aberdeen. Oluwabankole is also certified by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) Nigerian Branch and by the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) in Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators Nigeria (ICSAN). Finally, they have a certification from Harvard Law School in Harvard Law School Programme on Negotiation.
