Akhil Sharma has a diverse work experience in the field of automotive technology. Akhil started their career as an intern at Honda Cars India Ltd in 2015. Later, they worked as a research assistant at ARAI, where they focused on the control strategy of Electric Power-assisted Steering (EPAS) with integrated features of Automated Driver Assisted Systems (ADAS).
In 2019, Akhil joined KPIT as a software engineer, specializing in advanced controls for electric and hybrid powertrains. Their responsibilities included model-based development of hybrid electric vehicle systems and optimization of electric powertrains.
Currently, Akhil is working at Flux Auto as a Team Lead Coordinator. Akhil is leading the Controls System vertical and is involved in the development of retrofitted automated driving stack for existing vehicles. Akhil has developed control architecture and state machine for autonomous driving projects and implemented model predictive control for trajectory following in autonomous driving.
