Akhil Sharma

Akhil Sharma has a diverse work experience in the field of automotive technology. Akhil started their career as an intern at Honda Cars India Ltd in 2015. Later, they worked as a research assistant at ARAI, where they focused on the control strategy of Electric Power-assisted Steering (EPAS) with integrated features of Automated Driver Assisted Systems (ADAS).

In 2019, Akhil joined KPIT as a software engineer, specializing in advanced controls for electric and hybrid powertrains. Their responsibilities included model-based development of hybrid electric vehicle systems and optimization of electric powertrains.

Currently, Akhil is working at Flux Auto as a Team Lead Coordinator. Akhil is leading the Controls System vertical and is involved in the development of retrofitted automated driving stack for existing vehicles. Akhil has developed control architecture and state machine for autonomous driving projects and implemented model predictive control for trajectory following in autonomous driving.

Throughout their career, Akhil has gained experience in vehicle dynamics modeling, algorithm development, and control logic testing. Akhil is skilled in Matlab, Python, and model-based design.

Akhil Sharma has a strong background in engineering and automotive technology. Akhil obtained a Master's degree in Automotive Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from RAJ KUMAR GOEL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, GHAZIABAD, from 2012 to 2016.

Before pursuing higher education, Akhil attended St Paul's College, where they completed their Higher secondary in science from 2010 to 2012, followed by their Highschool education in Science from 2009 to 2010.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Akhil has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. These certifications include "Intro to Automotive functional safety(ISO -26262)" from Udem in February 2023, "Jira" from Coursera in February 2023, "Fundamentals of Data Preprocessing" from Analyttica Datalab Inc. in September 2020, "Model-Based Automotive Systems Engineering" from edX in January 2020, "Matlab/Simulink" from Udemy in March 2019, and "Product design and development" from NPTEL in February 2018.

Furthermore, Akhil has acquired multiple certifications in various fields such as "AMCAT Certified Engineering Trainee - Mechanical Engineering," "Business Analyst," "Data Processing Specialist," and "Engineering Trainee - Mechanical Engineering" from Aspiring Minds in September 2016.
